Our equestrian programs are both most enjoyable and educational. Come camp with us!  Our comprehensive camps cover different riding disciplines, including Western and English (hunt seat) riding lessons. Each student is “assigned” to and responsible for their horse for the week. Your child and his/her horse will receive riding lessons every day.   

Students learn about horses from head to tail including interesting aspects of horse care through hands-on participation, demonstrations and group discussions. Topics include feeding, cleaning, veterinary care, farrier care, horse breeds, riding disciplines, horse-related arts and crafts, water games, team building, nature hikes and more.  Of course there are recesses for the children to have their own “horseplay.”

Jefferson Valley Farm camps are designed for riders of all skill levels. Our instructors are focused on making sure your child has a fun, educational and safe time at camp. We make every effort to group students of similar ages and abilities together so that every child gets the most out of their camp session.

2010 CAMP DATES 

Week 1~ June 28-July 2

Week 2~ July 12-July16 

Riders 7-18 years old, both beginner and intermediate horse lovers five day camp meets Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm.  Each week’s camp fee is $175 per session and a $100 non-refundable deposit is required. The deposit is due with the student’s registration form and guarantees the student place in the camp.  (Links to these forms are below)

Camps are filling up quickly, so reserve your place today. Please send a bag lunch and a water bottle each day. The farm will have an end-of-the-camp pizza party Friday.

Summer Camp Schedule

9:00 – 10:00 am      Campers arrive, horses assignments, morning feeding and care

10:00 – 12:00          Ride Time! Grooming and saddling your horse.  

12:00 - 12:30           Lunch/Snack

12:30 - 1:45             Horse related arts and crafts, painted ponies, games, nature hikes, water play and hay rides. Activities vary each day.

2:00 pm                   Parent pick up
