Jefferson Valley Farm   LLC

The farm as been a part of the Jefferson family for more than 100 years. Initially a tobacco farm, then a  beef cattle farm, JVF now caters exclusively to horses.  The history continues with each generation.  From the old tobacco barns that line the pastures, to the century-old hay barn that was built “to last forever,” to the modern stables. Gently rolling pastures, with panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, provide the warmth and serenity of the valley. 

Cindy began riding as a young girl and quickly became enamored with horses. She started showing hunters at an early age, then moved on to saddle seat. Cindy has worked with world champion trainers and horses over the years to gain the expertise to make Jefferson Valley Farm one of the best facilities. She was the Broodmare/ Stallion Manager at DeerHaven Farm, which was home to world champion saddlebreds. Cindy then teamed with Rob Marsh, at  BridleWood Farm and soon developed a love of Morgan horses. Showing Morgans and Saddlebreds in different discliplines honed her training and lesson programs. Cindy has achieved numerous championship tiles.

Barbara has something special that she and her mini's share -- the start of Jefferson Valley Farm. She has a love for horses that is so powerful that any horse can sense. You'll find her walking around each pasture with a pocket full of treats and a circle of horses around her. She bought her first mini years ago and the number has blossomed into many pint size horses on the farm. She has an approach that draws horses to her. With her gentle character and charm, Barbara is a huge asset to the farm.
